About the Author
Bonnie McCollough Broadhead was born December 25, 1928, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
She was the first born of five children into the family of Amanda Josephine
Hensarling McCollough and Myles McCollough. She finished high school and earned two
years of college. She married Calvin C. Broadhead in January 1947 and they has two
daughters -- Carmen Colleen Broadhead Malone and Deborah Amanda Broadhead Houston.

Calvin was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1987 shortly after his retirement.
He died July 9, 2002. Both their daughters and all three of Bonnie's brothers are
very attentive to her. They take special care of her needs. Bonnie now resides in
Madison, Mississippi, with her oldest daughter.
